This blog talks about chess visualization and how I created my Chess Visualization Course. In it I'll talk about my approach to chess visualization, describe the contents of the book, and present some of the 800 visualization exercises that i've created.

Would this book work for a beginner? I play chess, but have never played a rated game. I feel that chess visualization would allow me to follow books, articles and annotations much better.
Thanks
The book is not for absolute beginners who only know how to move the pieces. It is designed to help people who want to visualize from four to eleven (and more) half-moves*. It sounds like you already know the value of visualization, so the book will help you explore this vital chess skill. Check out the sample exercises in this blog to get a better idea of some of the exercises in the book.
*NOTE: Four half-moves is two moves for White plus two moves for Black.
I ordered this book on August 16th, it was mailed on the same day, and I received it a stunning 4 days later, extremely well-packed in a sturdy box. Superb service!
As for the book itself, I was very impressed. The spiral binding lets it lie conveniently flat (I know a fanatic who had all his training chessbooks rebound with spiral binding). The paper is very nice - bright white, thick and smooth. The diagrams, thank god, are clear and gorgeous (Chess Alpha font). In short, the production values are outstanding.
Now for the meat: I've only worked through Chapter 1, but I really appreciate the care, intelligence, and effectiveness with which and for which the examples were chosen. I really like that they are all from real games, with complete source information in the answer section. I really like that you've pointed out and discussed alternative moves, and that the solutions have all benefitted from computer checking. This 1740 player has now included this book as part of his daily chess training.
You have clearly labored with love over this very fine work. Thank you! I look forward to the succeeding volumes.
Thanks for your great comments!
The book took two years to write, so we hope that you find the exercises and the structure of the book to be valuable.
I'll have to remember to check this site later.
The book sounds interesting and maybe the exercises can be used as additional material after some of my chess lessons.
